Bucheon FC 1995 faces Jeju SK FC (hereafter referred to as Jeju) for the first time in five years.

Bucheon will host Jeju at Bucheon Stadium for the Korea Cup third round on the evening of the 16th (Wednesday) at 7:30 p.m. This match between the two teams is a symbolic showdown that carries the history of their fans.

It is not the first time Jeju has visited Bucheon. In the 2020 season, the two teams also met in Bucheon during the league, but at that time it was held as a no-spectator game due to COVID-19.

Currently, Bucheon is competing in the upper ranks of the league and is preparing seriously for the Korea Cup to deliver an energetic performance with the support of home fans. Fans have shown a warm response since the drawing of the Korea Cup match-ups, looking forward to the showdown that has not occurred in five years.

The players are feeling these fan expectations. Coach Lee Young-min mentioned the possibility of facing Jeju to the players before the last second round match and emphasized the importance of winning against Yeoju. After the match, he noted, "I am aware of what the fans expect. We will prepare our best" and expressed his determination for victory against Jeju.

The match between the two teams is being highlighted as a battle of pride beyond simple wins and losses. Additionally, 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Bucheon supporters 'Hermes,' and this match is expected to be an even more meaningful contest.

Details about the Korea Cup third round will be announced later through the club's official social media and website.
