Japanese star Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers), who is performing brilliantly in Major League Baseball (MLB), ranked first in uniform sales.

The Major League Baseball office noted that as of the 1st (Korea Standard Time), the most sold uniforms featured Ohtani's name and number since last year's World Series.

Although specific figures were not disclosed, the sales rankings were compiled through the Fanatics Network, a global digital sports platform.

The Dodgers, last year's World Series champions, had six players included among the top 20 in uniform sales.

Ohtani, along with Freddie Freeman (2nd), Mookie Betts (4th), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (10th), Clayton Kershaw (11th), and Enrique Hernandez (16th), made the sales rankings.

This marks the second time since 2012 that two Japanese players have made the top 10 in Major League uniform sales, following Ichiro Suzuki and Yu Darvish.

Among players excluding those from the Dodgers, the uniform sales rankings were Juan Soto (3rd-New York Mets), Aaron Judge (5th-New York Yankees), Francisco Lindor (6th-New York Mets), Bryce Harper (7th-Philadelphia Phillies), Jose Altuve (8th-Houston Astros), and Ronald Acuña Jr. (9th-Atlanta Braves).
