A woman who suffered serious injuries due to a falling structure at the baseball stadium during the professional baseball game between the NC Dinos and LG Twins has ultimately died.

The woman had come to watch the game between NC and LG at NC Park in Changwon on the 29th when the accident occurred. Around 5:20 p.m., a structure fixed to the wall near the concession stand at NC Park's third base side fell, injuring three spectators below, one of whom, a woman hit in the head, was transported to the hospital in critical condition for surgery. After waiting to recover in the intensive care unit, she ultimately died. A representative from the Masan Dongbu Police Station stated on the 31st that "the woman who suffered serious injuries died that morning."

Among the three individuals injured in the accident, two were sisters in their 20s who had come together to watch the game. The older sister died after being struck in the head by a structure (2.6 meters long, 40 centimeters wide aluminum "louver"), while the younger sister suffered a fractured collarbone and is receiving treatment at the hospital. Another individual sustained leg injuries and was transported to the hospital in significant mental shock.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) postponed the game between NC and LG originally scheduled for the 30th to conduct a safety inspection of the facilities immediately after the accident. Furthermore, it was decided that the game between NC and SSG scheduled to take place at NC Park from April 1 to 3 will be held without spectators. The KBO noted, "We will strive to ensure that the league operates with the safety of spectators as the top priority in all stadiums going forward."

The KBO also conducted safety inspections of various structures and facilities inside and outside the four stadiums (Gocheok Sky Dome, Jamsil Baseball Stadium, Hanwha Life Eagles Park, and Sajik Baseball Stadium) where games were taking place, excluding NC Park, on the 30th. Additionally, wishing for a speedy recovery for the injured spectators from the NC Park accident, minimal cheering was observed during the games held on the 30th.

On the 30th, NC issued a statement saying, "At around 5:20 p.m. on March 29, a structure fixed to the wall near the concession stand at NC Park's third base side fell, resulting in three injured spectators. We wish for a speedy recovery for those who suffered unfortunate injuries. The club is doing its best to take necessary measures, and we will thoroughly investigate the precise cause of the accident and establish countermeasures in cooperation with the relevant authorities to ensure such incidents do not recur."
