According to the police on the 26th, around 5:10 p.m. that day, a woman identified as A, who was working at a senior care center in Uijeongbu, was stabbed and collapsed after bleeding.
A coworker discovered A and reported it, leading to her being transported to the hospital, but she ultimately passed away. It is reported that A was working alone without any coworkers at the time of the incident.
The prime suspect is a man who is an acquaintance of A, who allegedly approached her in mid-month and was reported for stalking. A was registered as a target for stalking protection measures and received actions such as the issuance of an emergency alert smartwatch and safety patrols. However, no emergency reports using the smartwatch were filed that day.
The police are investigating the suspect's residence and tracking him, but it has been reported that his whereabouts are currently unknown.
