Suspect shoots family member in Incheon, leading to one death

A case occurred in Incheon where a homemade firearm was fired at a family member, resulting in one death.

According to the police, a report of a firearm incident was received around 9:30 p.m. on the 20th from an apartment in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.

At the scene, a man in his 30s who was shot was transported to a hospital by emergency services but was reported to have ultimately died. The police tracked down a man in his 60s who had fled and arrested him around 12:20 a.m. on the 21st in Seoul.

The suspect and the victim are reported to have a family relationship. The police are expected to investigate the circumstances that led to the possession of the homemade firearm and the motive for the crime.
