Heavy rainfall poured overnight in the central region, causing some train services to be suspended.
According to the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) on the 17th, regular train services between Seoul Station and Daejeon Station on the Gyeongbu Line were temporarily suspended from 4:30 a.m.
In addition, the regular train services between Cheonan Station and Iksan Station on the Janghang Line, as well as between Hongseong Station and Seohwa Station on the West Sea Line, are also suspended.
Line 1 electric trains are temporarily suspended between Pyeongtaek Station and Sinchang Station.
However, services on the stretch between Yeoncheon and Pyeongtaek Station and KTX are operating normally.
A KORAIL official noted, "Train operations may resume depending on changes in rainfall amounts."
