The government and the financial industry will cooperate for the prompt distribution of consumer coupons for economic recovery.
On the 14th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Financial Services Commission, and nine major card companies including KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Lotte, BC, Samsung, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, and Hyundai Card, as well as internet banks such as KakaoBank and Toss Bank, and fintech companies like Naver Pay and Kakao Pay, signed a business agreement at the Korea Local Finance Co-ordination Association in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The first round of consumer coupons for economic recovery can be applied for online and offline from 9 a.m. on the 21st until 6 p.m. on September 12. Depending on the choice, support funds can be received through ▲credit card ▲debit card ▲prepaid card ▲local love gift certificates.
A government official noted, "According to the agreement, each agency will utilize minimal personal information within the necessary scope for the distribution of consumer coupons for economic recovery," and explained, "We will enter into a contract for the handling and protection of personal information to ensure its safe processing."
