Around 10:20 a.m. on the 14th, four family members, including a couple in their 40s and their two teenage children, were found dead in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Dongtan New Town, Hwaseong City, prompting police to launch an investigation.
The police received a 112 report around 9:30 a.m. from a representative of the elementary school attended by the children of the couple, stating, "The child did not go to school and they cannot contact the parents."
Upon dispatching to the residence to confirm the situation, they discovered the four deceased individuals, including the couple, in the car located in the underground parking lot.
A presumed suicide note left by the couple was found at the scene.
Based on the circumstances at the scene, police believe that they took their own lives and are investigating the exact circumstances.
