In relation to the sexual assault allegations that occurred within the Rebuilding Korea Party, it is reported that the police have called in a former party official identified as the perpetrator for questioning.
According to the police on the 14th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Women and Children Crime Investigation Division summoned an individual known as A for questioning on the 10th as a suspect in a sexual assault case. A was a key party official in the Rebuilding Korea Party. It is reported that he denied all allegations during the police investigation.
Earlier, a party official identified as B from the Rebuilding Korea Party filed a lawsuit against A for alleged sexual misconduct through the use of workplace power. B claimed in the complaint that A, a superior, engaged in physical contact and made sexually harassing comments multiple times over a period of 10 months. It is also reported that evidence, including witness testimonies along with details of the incidents, was attached.
