The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, which is transferring to Busan within this year, decided on two buildings near Busanjin Station as temporary offices, prompting the Busan city government to immediately express its welcome position.
Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun noted on his social networking service (SNS) on the afternoon of the 10th, 'The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries decided on the location of its office in Busan today,' adding, 'I welcome the rapid decision of the ministry.'
Mayor Park stated, 'The city of Busan launched a full-scale operation to find space where around 850 ministry officials can work, identifying and relaying 19 locations,' and added, 'As the ministry quickly decided on the temporary office location, we will cooperate and support to ensure the transfer is completed within this year.'
On that day, the ministry selected two locations for temporary offices: the IM Building and Hyupsung Tower near Busanjin Station. The IM Building will serve as the main office, while Hyupsung Tower will be used as the annex.
