Regarding the incident in which three students attending the same high school died, the principal of the school urged a thorough and swift investigation into the facts.
On the 8th, the high school principal held a press conference at the Busan City Council and stated, "As the principal responsible for the school, I stand here amidst unimaginable sorrow and pain."
He continued, "I sincerely bow my head in apology to everyone who has been profoundly shocked and affected by the tragic events that occurred at our school."
He also noted, "Although the police, the education office, and external experts are working hard to find the truth, our school will also strive to identify the fundamental causes of the problem and improve the school management system to prevent such sad incidents from happening again."
The principal further urged a thorough and swift investigation into the facts, claiming in a "tearful appeal to the President" that the recent sudden large-scale replacement of instructors at the school led to the tragedy.
He also stated that measures are needed for a fair audit by the education office, strong action against the spread of false information, and the establishment of a system that meets the needs of students and teachers to normalize the school.
