Heavy rain fell in Seoul on the afternoon of the 8th, causing flooding on roads and various locations. A heavy rain advisory was issued around 6:40 p.m. in the western part of Seoul.
According to the fire authorities, the apartment complex in Guro District's Gocheok-dong, near Mok-dong Bridge in Yangcheon District, and roads including Yanghwa Bridge were flooded due to the heavy rain.
Lanes throughout Seoul were also restricted. The underpass on the east side of Omokgyo along the western beltway was fully closed for a time, and three lower lanes on the section of the World Cup Road from the southern end of Seongsan Bridge to the southern end of Olympic Boulevard toward Hanam were also closed.
There are no known casualties resulting from the heavy rain.
