The police will take a comprehensive response related to the pro and con rallies held near the Seoul Central District Court, where the pre-arrest interrogation (pre-trial examination) of former President Yoon Suk-yeol will take place on the 9th.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated on the 8th, "We will mobilize sufficient personnel and equipment to manage the situation stably and will respond strictly under the principle of zero tolerance to unlawful violent acts."
The police will deploy about 2,000 personnel from around 30 units and over 350 barrier devices, including safety fences, around the Central District Court until all related procedures, such as the warrant review and announcement of results, are completely finished.
The police noted, "Learning from the occupation incident at the Western District Court when the arrest warrant for former President Yoon was issued in January, if similar unlawful violent acts are attempted or occur, we will use all available equipment, including a capsicum sprayer, to apprehend the perpetrators on-site and will thoroughly track down those engaged in unlawful incitement to impose severe legal measures."
