The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heatwave warning for all of Seoul effective at 12 p.m. on the 30th. A heatwave warning is issued when the maximum perceived temperature exceeds 33 degrees Celsius for more than two days, or when significant damage is expected due to the heat.
The Korea Meteorological Administration also issued a heatwave alert for Gwangju and Gapyeong in Gyeonggi Province at the same time. A heatwave warning has been issued for Gwacheon, Seongnam, Guri, and Hwaseong in Gyeonggi Province.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted daytime temperatures to range from 27 to 35 degrees Celsius. This is similar to the previous day's range of 27.8 to 36.6 degrees Celsius.
In the afternoon, there will be rain showers in the metropolitan area and inland mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, and from the afternoon to evening, there may also be rain in the southwestern inland of North Gyeongsang Province and western inland of South Gyeongsang Province.
Although temperatures in areas receiving rain showers will temporarily drop, once the rain stops, the temperature will rise again during the day due to high humidity, resulting in hot conditions.
