On the 29th, the Korean National Police Agency announced the promotion of Yu Jae-sung, Commissioner of the National Investigation Agency, to Vice Administrator of the Korean National Police Agency. Additionally, Park Sung-joo, Chief of the Gwangju Police Agency, was promoted to head the National Investigation Agency.

Director General Yu has previously served as ▲ Science Investigation Officer of the National Investigation Agency, ▲ Director of the Cyber Investigation Division of the Korean National Police Agency, ▲ Chief of the Chungcheongnam-do Police Agency, and ▲ Chief of the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency.

Commissioner Park has served as ▲ Chief of the Investigation Division of the Seoul Police Agency, ▲ Head of the Investigation Department of the Seoul Police Agency, ▲ Director of the Investigation Division of the National Investigation Agency, and ▲ Chief of the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency.

Those with the rank of Superintendent will be formally appointed and promoted to Deputy Commissioner.
