The Korean Interns Association (Daejeon Hyup) will discuss measures for medical normalization. As the Chairperson has changed from a hardliner to someone who emphasizes internal communication, it is being speculated that the conflict between the medical community and the government will enter a new phase.
Han Seong-jun, the newly appointed Chairperson of the emergency response committee of Daejeon Hyup, attended the temporary general assembly held at the Seoul Medical Association in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 28th. The assembly will decide on the formation of a new emergency response committee and the approval of regional councils.
Prior to the general assembly, Commissioner Han met with reporters and noted, "This is a space to reflect the wishes of the interns and seek ways to normalize medical services," adding, "All decisions and judgments will be based on the voices of internal members."
Daejeon Hyup elected Commissioner Han as the new Chairperson of the emergency response committee during its online temporary general assembly on the 26th. Commissioner Han has also been someone who has pointed out the lack of communication from the hardliner, former Chairperson Park Dan.
Immediately after being elected, Commissioner Han stated, "I will work to increase communication in the future and ensure that the opinions of internal interns are well reflected."
