According to the Seocho District and the Seoul Transportation Corporation, the accident occurred around 10:47 a.m. when a gas line was damaged during construction near exit 10 of Gyeongdae Station.

According to the Seoul Transportation Control System (TOPIS), the section from Seocho Station to the court and prosecution office on Seocho-daero is completely blocked, while traffic on Seocho Central Road, which runs north and south, is normal.
