Former President Yoon Suk-yeol stated that he plans to go to the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office for an in-person investigation scheduled for the 28th, even if the special prosecutor for the rebellion does not accept requests for private access through the underground parking lot.
On the 27th, the former president's attorney said, "Even if there is no agreement with the special prosecutor regarding access to the underground parking lot, we plan to go to the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office at 10 a.m. on the 28th." He added, "The meaning of 'attendance' is that we will go to the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office (where the special prosecutor's office is)" and noted, "We plan to go to the high prosecutor's underground parking lot at 10 a.m."
Additionally, the former president's side announced in a notice sent to the media that "Attorneys Kim Hong-il, Song Jin-ho, and Chae Myung-sung will attend the special prosecutor's in-person investigation of former President Yoon tomorrow."
Earlier, the special prosecutor for the rebellion notified former President Yoon to appear at the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office for questioning at 9 a.m. on the 28th, right after the arrest warrant against him was dismissed on the 25th. In response, the former president's side requested to postpone the questioning to 10 a.m. and asked for private attendance via the underground parking lot.
The special prosecutor accepted the request to postpone the time but did not agree to private attendance, stating that it could be seen as a privilege. However, the former president's side has maintained its position to attend via the underground parking lot.
