In Iksan, North Jeolla Province, an explosion occurred in the outdoor unit of an air conditioner at an apartment, and it has been confirmed that all seven foreign workers residing in the unit have vanished, prompting police to investigate their whereabouts.
According to the North Jeolla Fire Department, at around 7:08 p.m. on the 25th, the outdoor unit of an air conditioner exploded on the 4th floor of an apartment in Busong-dong, Iksan, shattering the windows of three households and causing some damage to vehicles parked on the ground below. There were no reported injuries.
Fire authorities searched the scene immediately after the incident, but the seven foreign workers residing in the unit were all absent. It is presumed that they left the scene right after the explosion, and police are tracking their movements and locations through CCTV footage and interviews with nearby residents.
