The Ministry of Education reported on the 26th that it had referred three representatives from the conservative educational organization Rebox School to police for investigation on charges of false and exaggerated advertising.

The three individuals referred to police by the Ministry of Education on this day are representatives of the Korea Education Consulting Institute, Rebox School, and the Korea Spring Education Association.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education conducted on-site inspections of the Korea Education Consulting Institute, related to Rebox School, on the 16th and the Glory Social Cooperative on the 20th.

The Ministry of Education concluded that these institutions have been running certification courses and engaged in false and exaggerated advertisements. For instance, they used phrases like 'Elementary After-School Spring Teacher Certification' or 'Ministry of Education Approved Certification' concerning the Creative Experience Activity Instructor qualification.

In addition, these institutions reportedly failed to comply with the obligation to display a qualification registration institution and registration number while making such advertisements.

The Ministry of Education's current inspection targeted two institutions, but the investigation referral involves three individuals. In this regard, the Ministry of Education stated, 'During the inspection process, we confirmed three organizations related to the advertising subject of the promotional materials,' adding that 'we referred the representatives of each institution as targets for investigation related to false and exaggerated advertising and the non-compliance of advertising display obligations.'
