The heavy rain advisories issued nationwide have all been lifted. The Emergency Management Center (EMC) also ended its phase 1 emergency operations after approximately 37 hours.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that all heavy rain advisories effective nationwide have been lifted as of 3 a.m. on the 22nd, leading to the lifting of phase 1 emergency operations at the EMC. This follows the activation of phase 1 at the EMC on the afternoon of the 20th at 2:30 p.m., which lasted for 36 hours and 30 minutes.
There are no official reports of casualties from the recent heavy rain. However, damage has been recorded to 4 public facilities and 4 private facilities in the southern regions. Additionally, there were 4 incidents of damage to public facilities, including the collapse of a retaining wall in Gyeonggi, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk, as well as rock falls on roads in Chungnam. Reports of damage such as the destruction of vinyl houses and building flooding have been received in Chungnam and Jeonbuk areas.
A total of 166 people from 109 households temporarily evacuated across 7 cities and provinces. Of these, 102 people from 65 households have yet to return home. Access restrictions have been placed on 442 areas in 17 national parks including Jirisan, Palgongsan, and Deogyusan, as well as on 94 municipal parking lots, 47 riverbed roads, 172 crosswalks, 64 walking paths, and 18 riverbanks.
The total accumulated rainfall from this rain event was ▲ 196.0 mm in Cheongyang, Chungnam ▲ 188.4 mm in Buyeo, Chungnam ▲ 183.5 mm in Jinan, Jeonbuk ▲ 177.0 mm in Iksan, Jeonbuk ▲ 176.5 mm in Seo-gu, Incheon.
