The special prosecutor's team led by Jo Eun-seok, investigating the insurrection and foreign exchange charges related to former President Yoon Suk-yeol's 'Dec. 3 martial law,' is in the final stages of forming the investigation team, requesting personnel deployment from relevant agencies such as the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) and the Ministry of National Defense, while also appointing key personnel responsible for the practical aspects of the investigation.

According to the legal community on the 22nd, Director Jang Young-pyo of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office was appointed as the head of the support team overseeing the administrative affairs and support operations of the special prosecutor's team. It is reported that Director Jang is set to be appointed as a special investigator soon after his retirement.

The special prosecutor's team also reportedly requested the deployment of a total of three prosecutors and investigators from the CIO. Additionally, it requested the Ministry of National Defense to send a total of 13 investigative personnel, including three military investigators, who are also expected to join the special prosecutor's team soon.

The special prosecutor's team for this insurrection investigation is the largest in history, consisting of 267 members, among which up to 60 can be deployed as prosecutors, and there can be 100 special investigators and 100 dispatched public officials each assigned.
