The Public Sector Labor Union Joint Countermeasure Committee of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and the Korean Federation of Trade Unions held a rally titled "Resolution Rally for Public Workers' Full Effort" in Gwanghwamun, Jongno District, in the afternoon. Approximately 10,000 people (unofficial estimates by the police) gathered on-site, and participants shouted slogans such as "Guarantee labor rights."
At the plaza in front of Seoul Station, a memorial rally for the "1st Anniversary of the Aricell Major Disaster" was held, hosted by the Aricell Major Disaster Countermeasure Committee and the bereaved families. The Aricell incident occurred on June 24 last year, when a fire broke out at the Aricell battery manufacturing plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in the deaths of 23 people.
The progressive group Candlelight Action held a rally near the residence of former President Yoon Suk-yeol in the neighborhood of Acrovista in Seocho District, calling for the arrest of former President Yoon and Kim Keon-hee. Meanwhile, at the same time near the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, conservative YouTubers gathered to demand the resumption of the appeal trial concerning President Lee Jae-myung's election law violation case.
In front of the Donghwa Duty-Free Shop in Jongno District, a rally by the Liberty Unification Party led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon of the Sarang First Church was held. Participants shouted slogans such as "Eradicate electoral fraud" and "Dissolve the Election Commission."
