North Korea strongly condemned Israel for its airstrikes on Iran, expressing "serious concern and firmly denouncing" the actions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted in a statement released on the 19th that Israel was "a cancer to Middle East peace" and expressed this view, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency.
North Korea criticized Israel for expanding military attacks into regions such as the Palestinian Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria, claiming it has caused a serious humanitarian crisis and calling it "brutal acts of invasion that trample mercilessly on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a sovereign state."
It warned that the United States and Western countries, instead of condemning Israel, are actually inciting war, stating that "the Jewish retrogrades who have brought about a new tumult in the Middle East and the backing forces that vigorously shield them will bear full responsibility for undermining international peace and security."
North Korea and Iran have maintained a close relationship based on anti-U.S. solidarity, and since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, they have been strengthening cooperation with a "pro-Russian" inclination by supplying weapons to Russia.
North Korea has consistently criticized Israel whenever tensions rise in the Middle East and has issued several statements condemning the attacks on Gaza, characterizing them as attempts to usurp Palestinian territory.
