On Saturday, the 14th, rain that started in Jeju and the southern region will expand nationwide. On Sunday, the 15th, daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 30 degrees.

On this day, the Korea Meteorological Administration noted that a heavy rain warning was issued, mainly for the southern region, and predicted that rain would fall in most of the country during the day.

In Jeju and the southern region, more than 100mm of rain fell since the previous day. From the previous day until 7 a.m. on this day, the cumulative precipitation on Mount Halla (Jindalrae Field) in Jeju exceeded 200mm.

Overnight, heavy rain fell in Busan and other areas. In Busan, from 12:04 a.m. on this day, 61.2mm of rain fell in one hour, setting a record for the highest one-hour rainfall in June since modern meteorological observations began in 1904.

The rain is expected to mostly stop on this day. In southern Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla provinces, and Jeju Island, it will continue until around noon, while in the Gyeongsang region, it will last until about 3 p.m. In the Jeolla region, raindrops will fall until the evening.

The expected precipitation is less than 5mm in the capital region, around 5mm in Gangwon, 5 to 40mm in Chungcheong, 20 to 60mm in Jeolla, 20 to 60mm in Gyeongsang (over 80mm in Busan and the southern coast of Gyeongnam), and 10 to 60mm in Jeju.

On Sunday, the 15th, many places, especially in the inland areas, will see daytime temperatures rise to around 30 degrees. Combined with humidity from the rain, the maximum perceived temperature may rise even higher.
