A Taiwanese national aircraft landed on an unauthorized runway at Gimhae International Airport in Busan. Fortunately, there was no collision with other aircraft.

According to Korea Airport Service, a Taiwanese China Airlines passenger aircraft landed on the left runway 18L at Gimhae International Airport at around 7:19 p.m. the day before (12th). However, this passenger aircraft had received clearance to land on the right runway 18R. The pilot mistakenly entered the left runway.

At that time, a JIN AIR passenger aircraft was entering the left runway for takeoff. The air traffic controller urgently instructed the JIN AIR passenger aircraft to stop its entry onto the runway, and a collision between the aircraft did not occur.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport classified this incident as an "aviation near-miss" and is investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the possibility of pilot error. An aviation near-miss refers to a situation that could have significantly impacted aviation safety but did not result in an actual accident.
