Amid reports that the wedding of President Lee Jae-myung's son, Dong-ho, is set for this weekend, a suspect accused of posting threatening messages about the president's family on social media (SNS) has been apprehended by police.

The Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul stated on the 12th that a man in his 50s, referred to as A, who posted threatening messages targeting the president's son’s wedding, was arrested on the 11th on charges of public threats. A has reportedly acknowledged all charges but stated that he had no intention to carry out the acts.

A is suspected of posting a photo of a map of the wedding venue, known to be the location of Dong-ho's wedding, on SNS on the 9th, mentioning the date and time of the ceremony, along with the message, "I will be able to capture the license plate numbers of incoming vehicles," categorized under the topic of "eradication at once."
