The law firm Barun (chief attorneys Lee Dong-hoon, Lee Young-hee, Kim Do-hyung) announced on the 12th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Public Conflict Management Association on the 11th to professionally and systematically manage and resolve public conflicts.
Through this memorandum of understanding, the two organizations agreed to support various legal consultations and mediation and arbitration of conflicts.
The Korean Public Conflict Management Association is a non-profit corporation under the Korean National Police Agency that focuses on developing and operating a qualification system for public conflict management experts, creating and implementing education programs for public conflict management, researching laws and policies related to public conflicts, and carrying out projects for public conflict resolution.
Lee Dong-hoon, chief attorney of Barun, said, 'When a new policy is implemented, positions that benefit and those that are harmed will clash sharply,' and noted, 'Barun and the Korean Public Conflict Management Association will effectively propose solutions to resolve social conflicts arising from interests or issues among various stakeholders such as citizens, corporations, and the government by leveraging each of our expertise.'
