A suspect who murdered a woman he was stalking in Daegu has fled to a mountain in Sejong City, prompting the city to ask citizens to remain vigilant.
The Sejong City Citizens' Safety Office urged, "For the time being, please refrain from visiting remote places and entering mountains near urban areas," and added, "If you see any suspicious individuals, please report them immediately to 112."
According to the Daegu Seongseo Police Station, Mr. A, a man in his 40s and the suspect in the murder of a woman in her 50s that occurred at an apartment in Daegu on the 10th, fled in a car immediately after the crime. The police confirmed evidence that Mr. A paid for a taxi in the area of the mountain in Bugangmyeon after checking his card payment records.
The police are continuing to search the mountains and back roads around Sejong City for the third day, deploying about 180 personnel, 8 search dogs, drones, and helicopters.
