A man in his 50s, who had been staging a high-altitude protest on the Han River Grand Bridge, came down after about 6 hours.
According to police on the 11th, Mr. A, who went up to the bridge to stage a high-altitude protest around 3:30 p.m., came back down to the ground around 9:20 p.m., after about 6 hours.
Mr. A was subsequently transferred to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul. Earlier that day, a suicide attempt report was received around 3:30 p.m., prompting police and fire authorities to be dispatched to the scene.
It was reported that Mr. B, the representative of the Alliance for Orphan Rights, was also present at the scene. They unfolded a banner with related phrases, calling for the truth and compensation for survivors of state violence in child group care facilities.
