The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 10th that it has completed the copyright registration for the digital communication characters 'Dahaengi' and 'Buriburri.'

According to this copyright registration, the characters Dahaengi and Buriburri must not be used without coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. There have been instances of unauthorized use of some digital communication characters created by government agencies or corporations for online marketing.

In response to potential unauthorized use of characters that may occur in the future, the ministry registered the copyright. The two characters were created in 2020 to inform the public about the ministry's policies and projects in a friendly manner. They are currently being used in social media channels and promotional content.

Kim Kwang-yong, the spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, “We will effectively communicate policies through various digital content utilizing the characters registered for copyright and actively engage with the public.”
