On the 10th, law firm Won (lead attorneys Yun Gi-won and Lee Yoo-jung) announced the launch of a team called 'Property One,' composed of experts in local government tax, contributions, and public benefits, making it the first law firm in Korea to do so.

Unlike national taxes, local government tax is connected to various regulations and licensing processes and has a distributed taxation system among individual local governments. Therefore, tasks related to local government tax require a high level of understanding and expertise in local administrative affairs.

To this end, law firm Won hired Cheon Myeong-cheol, who has served as the head of the tax department and tax policy department in Seoul. The Property One team also includes attorney Ko In-seon, who has experience as the head of the litigation team and contract review team in Seoul.

Property One is overseen by attorney Seo Sun-sung, who is responsible for practical operations. Seo Sun-sung has six years of experience in reviewing pre-tax assessments as a member of the Seoul local government tax deliberation committee. Additionally, he has also served as a member of the social infrastructure subcommittee of the Ministry of Economy and Finance’s fiscal project evaluation committee, as well as on the Seoul Urban Planning Committee and the Urban Architecture Joint Committee, and the Seoul Mayor’s Maintenance Project Deliberation Committee.

In addition, Property One is establishing strategic partnerships with external experts, including urban planning firms and appraisal companies. Through cooperation with these experts, they plan to provide consulting on urban planning, administrative procedures, donation and public contributions, real estate-related taxes, and various burdens needed for real estate development and maintenance projects.

Seo Sun-sung stated, 'We have been preparing services that cover everything from urban planning suitability to public contributions and pre-negotiation coordination, tax, and the management of dozens of burdens for a long time' and added, 'We have completed all preparations, including organizing regular seminars with various experts to enhance our expertise and reallocating existing professional staff.'
