On the 9th, Sasaeheng reported former chief of staff Chung to the CIO for abuses of power and obstruction of the exercise of rights.

The Democratic Party of Korea raised allegations through a spokesperson of the election committee on the 27th of last month that former chief of staff Chung instructed to shred PC data to destroy evidence related to the state of emergency. Sasaeheng also claimed that former chief of staff Chung issued such instructions and violated legal provisions that require a review by a professional committee before disposing of presidential records.

The People's Participation Coalition for the Eradication of Deep-rooted Evil also filed a complaint against former chief of staff Chung on the 7th with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for these allegations. The coalition included former presidential secretary Yoon Jae-sun on the list of those accused.

In addition to this allegation, Sasaeheng claimed that former chief of staff Chung disbanded presidential office staff necessary for the transition of power, obstructing the new government's exercise of authority.

However, the Yoon Suk-yeol administration stated that the records to be transferred were sent to the presidential record office, and there was no illegal destruction of materials.
