The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 9th that it will hold the 'Mid-to-late Career Job Fair' at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu from July 1 to 2.

This year's fair is jointly organized by the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation and the Credit Card Social Contribution Foundation, marking its third iteration this year.

This year's event has been completely revamped as a digital-centric fair to match the changing employment environment. It will offer features such as interview applications using QR codes, artificial intelligence (AI) video interviews, and information via kiosks. The plan is to enable the mid-to-late career population to engage in job-seeking activities using the latest technology.

The fair will feature 120 corporations. The Seoul Metropolitan Government confirmed that these corporations have expressed a demand for mid-to-late career hiring. The corporations will conduct hiring consultations and interviews targeting the mid-to-late career demographics at the fair's recruitment booth.

Additionally, the fair will operate the Tomorrow Planning Center, which offers employment consulting and career counseling for the mid-to-late career demographic, and a headhunting and gig worker zone that connects highly experienced individuals with flexible job opportunities.

Pre-registration for participation in this fair and job applications can be done on the 50 Plus Portal website starting June 9. On-site registration will also be available on the day of the event. All programs are free for anyone to participate in, regardless of pre-registration. Attendees can bring application documents such as resumes on the day of the fair to apply to their desired corporations and participate in interviews.

Kang Myung, the CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, “This fair presents an opportunity for the mid-to-late career population to showcase their experiences and skills anew in the changing employment environment,” adding, “We will actively support them in finding jobs and reconnecting with society even in a new technological environment.”
