Comedian Lee Kyung-kyu (65) is under police investigation for allegedly driving after taking drugs.

Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated on the 9th that they are conducting a preliminary investigation into Lee for violating the Road Traffic Act.

It is reported that Lee received another person's vehicle by mistake due to a parking attendant's error at an indoor golf practice facility in Gangnam, Seoul, around 2 p.m. the previous day and drove it to his company.

Police, responding to a report of suspected vehicle theft, conducted alcohol and drug testing on Lee. It was reported that a preliminary drug test came back positive.

A police official said, "I cannot confirm any related matters."

In a media interview, Lee noted, "The positive drug test was due to the medications I take for panic disorder and cold medicine," adding, "I did not take illegal drugs." He referred to driving another person's vehicle as "a parking attendant's mistake."
