Former President Yoon Suk-yeol appeared in court on the morning of the 9th for the sixth hearing on charges of leading a rebellion. This is the first hearing since President Lee Jae-myung was elected.
On that day, former President Yoon walked into the courtroom. The court has prohibited access via the underground entrance since the third hearing, so former President Yoon passed through the so-called photo line. However, former President Yoon did not respond to reporters' questions.
Former President Yoon appeared at the entrance of the Seoul Central District Court's west building around 9:58 a.m. Dressed in a suit and wearing a pink tie, he entered the court with a blank expression alongside his attorney and bodyguards.
Reporters asked several questions such as, "How do you view the election results?" and "What is your position regarding the special investigation that exercised a veto during your presidency, which is now about to be launched?" but former President Yoon did not answer.
Earlier, during the trial on the 26th, former President Yoon entered and exited the court a total of four times but did not answer any questions from reporters.
Meanwhile, the 25th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court (presided over by Chief Judge Ji Gwi-yeon) will hold the sixth hearing on former President Yoon's charges of leading a rebellion starting at 10:15 a.m. in courtroom 417.
