On the 8th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Transportation Corporation announced that they will open the "Smart Move Station," the third fun station, at Moggol Station on subway line 7 on the 9th.
The Smart Move Station is a space created for the health management of subway users and local residents. It consists of four specialized areas: a smart measurement area, a personal fit studio, a cycling studio, and a digital exercise space. Through this, health measurements can be conducted alongside exercise prescription services.
Users can check their health and psychological state through a body composition monitor, digital scale, and mental measurement device in the smart measurement area. The personal fit studio is a space where individuals can exercise tailored to their health information.
The cycling studio features indoor bikes equipped with tablets to create a real-time riding environment. Participants can also join virtual cycling competitions on a front screen. The digital exercise space is a place to experience various digital contents.
Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Government opened fun stations tailored to local characteristics, such as "Yeouinaru Station Runner Station" and "Ttuksom Station Fit Station." Detailed information about the Smart Move Station and smart measurement reservations can be found on the website.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will operate this Moggol Station fun station as a pilot for about three months after its opening. During this period, all programs are free. From September onward, some programs are expected to be offered for a fee.
Son Byeong-hee, head of the strategic business division at the Seoul Transportation Corporation, said, "The unused subway space, which has not been utilized for a long time, is transforming into a unique space for local residents and citizens to enjoy."
Im Chang-soo, director of future space planning at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, noted, "The third fun station, Smart Move Station, is a daily life-oriented space that helps citizens start exercising within the familiar setting of a subway station and connects them to a healthy daily life."
