It is forecasted that, for the time being, daytime temperatures will exceed 30 degrees Celsius, mainly inland.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 8th, the lowest morning temperature on the 9th is expected to be between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius, while the highest afternoon temperature will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius, which is higher than usual. In particular, the perceived maximum temperature is likely to exceed 31 degrees Celsius, especially in the inland regions of Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang.

The Korea Meteorological Administration noted that due to the high possibility of heat-related illnesses, outdoor activities should be limited, and thorough food management is recommended to prevent foodborne illnesses. They also advised preparing cool water and rest areas during outdoor work.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day, there may be showers in eastern North Chungcheong and North Jeolla provinces. The expected precipitation is between 5 and 10 mm. In Jeju Island and the metropolitan area, light rain of less than 0.1 mm may fall from that night until the early morning of the 9th.

It is expected that dense fog with visibility of less than 200 meters will occur in the northwestern inland of Gyeonggi, along the west coast, and the south coast until 10 a.m. on the 9th. Roads adjacent to bridges or near rivers and lakes along the coast may have thicker fog than the surrounding areas, so drivers should exercise caution.

There will also be sea fog over the West Sea, South Sea, and around Jeju Island. In the island regions, dense fog with visibility of less than 200 meters may occur, along with drizzling rain. A representative of the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, “Due to the dense fog, there may be disruptions in flight operations at airports, so air traffic passengers are advised to check flight information in advance.”
