The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 5th that it will initiate a concentrated crackdown on reckless and dangerous driving around Memorial Day.
The police plan to deploy 358 traffic enforcement officers to strengthen patrols in areas expected to see the appearance, movement, and gathering of reckless drivers and will immediately crack down on any violations. The police emphasized that if on-site arrests are difficult, they will pursue offenders through evidence collection.
The targets of the crackdown are ▲ acts that create danger by having two or more vehicles line up in front, back, or on either side ▲ reckless driving that regularly violates traffic signals and crosses the central line ▲ illegal tuning ▲ attaching illegal mufflers that produce loud noises ▲ obscuring license plates.
