President Lee Jae-myung will take the oath of office at 11 a.m. on the 4th in the central hall of the National Assembly.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety noted that the oath-taking ceremony for the 21st president will be held at 11 a.m. on the 4th at the central hall of the National Assembly.

This event is to declare the launch of the new government to both domestic and international audiences. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety noted that the ceremony will be conducted simply centered around the oath of office, in line with President Lee Jae-myung's intention to promptly address national issues from the moment of his election.

According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, approximately 300 people will attend the oath-taking ceremony, including five high-ranking officials, party representatives, members of the National Assembly, and cabinet ministers. The event will focus on the president's oath of office as stipulated in Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea and remarks to the public.

It is reported that the presidential inauguration ceremony, which is equivalent to an appointment ceremony, will be held on July 17 in conjunction with the commemorative ceremony for Constitution Day.

President Lee is expected to start his first external schedule with a visit to the National Cemetery in Seoul prior to taking the oath of office. Previously, most former presidents also visited the cemetery in the morning of their first inauguration day before heading to the ceremony venue.
