Around 7:55 p.m. on the 3rd, a vehicle driven by a man in his 70s, referred to as Mr. A, crashed into a nearby commercial building from an outdoor parking lot in Gamjeong-dong, Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.
There were no casualties from the incident; however, the car penetrated into the first floor of a clinic in the commercial building, damaging windows and facilities.
Mr. A reportedly stated to the police officers who arrived at the scene that he "pressed the brake but the vehicle moved forward."
Police plan to investigate the specific cause of the accident based on the vehicle's event data recorder (EDR) and surrounding closed-circuit (CC) TV footage.
