Each fire station will remove potential fire hazards at voting and counting stations in advance and will strengthen preventive patrols. They will also coordinate with relevant local agencies regarding construction, electricity, and gas and confirm the operation of facilities, as well as provide training on reporting to 119 and initial response procedures to building personnel.

Before the arrival of the ballot boxes and until the conclusion of the count, 464 fire trucks and 2,193 fire personnel will be deployed at 254 counting stations nationwide. They will verify fire access routes around the voting and counting stations in advance and maintain an emergency communication system with relevant agencies such as the Election Commission and police in real-time.

Lee Jung-ki, head of the Fire Agency's Fire Response Investigation Division, said, "We will focus our fire capabilities to ensure the elections are conducted safely."
