Actor Kim Hye-eun, a graduate of Seoul National University’s vocal music department, publicly criticized writer Yoo Si-min, an alumnus.
On the 31st, Kim Hye-eun wrote on her social media that "I have never felt so ashamed of my educational background from Seoul National University as I do now. I would like to convey my apologies on behalf of all of us."
He stated, "The academic background and intelligence of a human being are worthless boasts, much like a piece of paper, in front of those who speak as evidence of a life filled with toil and sincerity. If one has a tongue that rashly judges and belittles anyone’s life, then that person has the most shameful tongue of all."
He added, "I respect mothers like Mrs. Seol Nan-young, who dedicated her life to supporting a man’s dream while being responsible for the household, and who has lived trying to throw herself into justice as a female labor activist."
Kim Hye-eun mentioned, "Mrs. Seol Nan-young, who quietly stood by her husband without ever misusing public funds, and Teacher Kim Young-ok, who personally shows her resilience to junior colleagues" and called them "true role models that motivate my life."

Earlier, on the 28th, writer Yoo said on the YouTube broadcast "Kim Eo-jun’s Das Beida" that "the position of a presidential candidate’s spouse for a prominent political party is a place Mrs. Seol Nan-young can hardly reach in her life" and added, "Therefore, this person is now floating in the air. In short, it means that they are not in their right mind," which sparked controversy.
As the aftermath spread, Yoo explained, "The expression was harsh, and that was my fault," asserting that there was no intention to belittle women or workers.
