The police secured all records from the encrypted phone server from the Presidential Security Service through voluntary submission. The prosecution also began the process of securing related materials in cooperation with the Security Service on the same day.

The police special investigation team for the emergency martial law stated that they received all the encrypted phone servers on the 29th.

It is reported that the server materials include all currency records starting from March 1, 2024, related to charges of insurrection. The police currently possess the CCTV footage from the Cabinet meeting room and the office corridor on the day of the emergency martial law, having secured it through voluntary submission. They are also in the process of obtaining the CCTV footage of entry to the private residence in Samcheong-dong.

On the same day, the prosecution's special investigation headquarters, led by Deputy Minister Park Se-hyun of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, also visited the Security Service to secure the encrypted phone server and CCTV footage.

Earlier, the special investigation team, which included military prosecutors, had sought a search warrant to secure the encrypted phone server in January, but it fell through due to the Security Service's refusal. After multiple discussions, they reportedly obtained the Security Service's willingness to cooperate with voluntary submission and visited the site. The special investigation team plans to start forensic work on the server beginning on the 30th.

However, it is reported that when the prosecution's investigation team visited the site that day, the police investigation team opposed their presence. The police argued that since the materials were secured after negotiations with the Security Service, the prosecution's involvement was inappropriate.

It seems that the fact that the prosecution had not previously requested a search warrant for the CCTV or for the encrypted phone server of former Minister Lee Sang-min contributed to their dissatisfaction. In contrast, the prosecution maintains that they are merely proceeding with the process through cooperation with the Security Service and that it is unrelated to the police investigation.
