On the 30th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated that the 'Happy Cola F!ZZ' product sold in the Netherlands has been reported to contain marijuana components, but it has not been imported in the past three years (2022 to present).

Haribo Korea, the domestic subsidiary, also noted that the issue is limited to specific products in the Netherlands and is unrelated to domestic products.

Earlier, Haribo recalled some of the cola bottle-shaped jelly sold under the name 'Happy Cola F!ZZ' in the Netherlands. Specifically, it is a 1 kg packaged product with an expiration date until January 2026. The production code is L341-4002307906.

The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) warned on its website that products containing jelly that may cause health issues such as dizziness upon consumption are being circulated, advising 'do not eat.' To date, three bags of affected products have been identified, but for precautionary reasons, a full recall has been decided. The incident became known when the police received reports that several individuals, including children and adults, became ill after consuming the jelly. Following the reports, the police commissioned a component analysis, which confirmed that the jelly indeed contained marijuana components.
