Rapper Beenzino (real name Lim Seong-bin) sparked controversy by posting several photos themed in red on the first day of early voting for the presidential election. In response, Beenzino clarified that he had no political intentions.

On the 29th, Beenzino posted several photos highlighting the color red on his social media (SNS) Instagram, calling it 'World Red Day.' The photos included him wearing a burgundy outfit while holding his young son, as well as images of him in a red scarf, baseball cap, and shorts. One photo showed him taking a bite of bread with red jam.

The post attracted comments suggesting that Beenzino revealed his political inclinations. Comments included, 'If that's the case, just say you’re voting for number 2; it’s not cool,' 'Support for martial law, sigh,' and 'Wearing blue is having beliefs, but wearing red is absurd.' Actor Lee Dong-hwi also left a heart comment with a 'like' on the post.

As the post became controversial, Beenzino deleted it. He later stated on his SNS, 'I sincerely apologize to those who may have felt uncomfortable with the post I made today,' adding, 'There was no political intent at all; I just wanted to share the pleasant moments from a peaceful day spent with my family a few days ago and the moments in my studio.'

Beenzino acknowledged, 'I am well aware that the timing during the early voting period could lead to misunderstandings, and I feel that I didn’t exercise enough caution.' He added, 'I have always considered healthy communication with my diverse fans to be very important, so I feel regretful and inadequate about today’s post.'

Earlier, Karina, a member of the girl group 'aespa,' was also embroiled in political color controversy after posting a photo wearing clothes with the number 2 in red. Her agency, SM Entertainment, stated, 'Karina merely posted everyday content on her SNS, and there were no other purposes or intentions.' They added, 'After recognizing the possibility of misunderstanding, she immediately deleted the post. We sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused inadvertently.'
