The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family said on the 26th that it will accept nominations for the '2025 Family-Friendly Excellent Corporations and Institutions' award starting on the 27th. The government has been selecting excellent family-friendly corporations and institutions every year since 2011.

Daehong Communications, which received a presidential citation last year, supported employee welfare benefits such as ▲increased childbirth support payments (from 300,000 won to 500,000 won for the first child and from 300,000 won to 2 million won for the second child and beyond) and ▲expanding support for prenatal insurance and infertility treatment expenses to male employees. Suprema also operates programs such as ▲interest-free housing loans of up to 500 million won and dormitory provisions (up to 2 years) ▲a 4.5-day workweek ▲100,000 won for the first relocation cost and 300,000 won in living stabilization funds each month (for up to 2 years).

Candidates for the award are corporations and institutions that have obtained family-friendly certification from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and have demonstrated excellent performance in promoting work-life balance for employees and fostering a family-friendly organizational culture for a period of two years or more.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family plans to award a total of 18 points through public verification and official examination procedures for the nominated corporations and institutions in December, including three points for the presidential citation, five points for the prime minister’s citation, and ten points for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family citation.

Until July 11, anyone can recommend candidates via email (toma3388@korea.kr). However, institutions such as central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions must submit official documents for recommendations.
