The police secured server records from the presidential security service's secure phone for the first time since the emergency martial law situation on Dec. 3. The server reportedly contains call logs and text message records exchanged between former President Yoon Suk-yeol and Vice Administrator Kim Sung-hoon of the presidential security service.
The police special investigation team noted on the 23rd that they obtained secure phone server records in connection with suspicions of obstruction of special public duty involving former President Yoon, former Vice Commissioner Park Jong-jun, and Vice Administrator Kim. Additionally, the police confiscated and obtained secure phones and work phones used by former President Yoon and others.
Earlier, the police and the presidential security service conducted a joint forensic investigation and were able to recover a significant portion of the secure phone server records. The security service selectively submitted necessary materials to the police.
