The prosecution, which is investigating allegations that Jeon Seong-bae, known as 'Geonjin Beopsa,' received gifts of money from the Unification Church for Kim Keon-hee, has confirmed that the church's leader, Han Hak-ja, was prohibited from leaving the country.

According to the legal community on the 22nd, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office's joint investigation team on virtual asset crimes, led by Director General Park Geon-wook, recently imposed a departure ban on Han. Han is currently a witness, but the prosecution is reportedly not ruling out the possibility of changing his status to that of a suspect.

The prosecution is investigating whether Yun, the former global head of the Unification Church, gave Jeon a luxury diamond necklace worth 60 million won and a Chanel bag under the guise of a gift for the first lady in 2022, while making various requests related to the church's issues. In particular, it is reported that during the investigation into whether the Unification Church was behind Yun's requests, there are suspicions that Han may have been involved.

Meanwhile, the Unification Church denied any knowledge of the situation.
