On the day of the martial law on Dec. 3, the police applied for an arrest warrant for a journalist from the internet media 'Sky Daily,' which reported that the martial army had arrested 99 Chinese spies at the training center of the National Election Commission in Suwon.

The Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated on the 20th that it applied for an arrest warrant to the prosecution for journalist A on charges of obstructing the execution of duty by coercion. Journalist A is accused of obstructing the execution of the commission's duties by publishing false articles.

Journalist A reported in January that "the martial army, in a joint operation with U.S. forces, arrested 99 Chinese spies at the training center and handed them over to the U.S. side, transferring them to a U.S. military base in Okinawa, Japan."

The commission requested a police investigation, stating it was a clear falsehood. The police also determined that the report was false.
